Parsan Productions has made history in Trinidad & Tobago by producing the first 100% local Indian movie with originally composed Hindi songs.
Aagman tells the story of the personal lives of the East Indian Indentured Labourers. It must be noted that Aagman is not a documentary about indentureship. It is a part-fiction film that was written and directed by our Artistic Director, Dr. Neera Parsan, surrounding the events related to her by her Ajee (Paternal Grandmother).
The film focuses on the circumstances that forced Sita – the young mother, Gopaal – the burglar, Budhram – the family man and Ahmad – the muslim, to flee India and board the ship to Trinidad, toward an unknown future.
Aagman contains seven full length songs written and composed by Dr. Parsan, in a true Bollywood style. A film like this has never been released in the history of T&T Theatre.
Our first Grand Red Carpet Launch took place at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts on Sunday 27th November 2022. Due to the overwhelming response from the public, we subsequently had another launch at Queen’s Hall on Sunday 8th January 2023.
