Artistic Director & Co-Founder – Dr. Neera Varsha Parsan
Varsha graduated in 2013 with BSc in Shastreeya Sangeet (Sangeet Kalanidhi) and received a gold medal with distinction from Bhartiya Vidya Sansthhaan. A lifelong cultural activist, she was the past Principal of Saraswati Vidyalay (a voluntary school where no tuition is charged) where she taught music and hindi from 2011 to 2016. Under her direction, Parsan Productions has organised several events such as Swarmilan, a roaming theatre Raja Chauhan and our first feature film, Aagman – The Arrival.
She is a music composer and Hindi poet. Some of her works were featured in the Kavi Sammelan 2021 organised by the Federation of Community Radio, India. She is also a member of the Music for Peace Foundation based in Canada. In 2021 she was awarded the Girmitya Ratna Award by the Girmitya Foundation of New Delhi India for her contribution and work in the field of Hindi, music and culture. She is a medical doctor by profession having graduated from the University of the West Indies in 2014 with BSc in Medical Sciences and MBBS.
